Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani is an aromatic-aquatic perfume for men, which debuted in 1996. Created by Alberto Morillas, Annick Menardo and Christian Dussoulier, it is a classic among fragrances that combine the freshness of citrus with the depth of the sea.
The fragrance opens with a fresh combination of lime, lemon, bergamot, jasmine, orange, mandarin and neroli, which give the composition an energizing character. The heart is perceptible with marine notes and a rich floral accord, which includes jasmine, freesia, roses, violets and coriander. It is complemented by cyclamen, peach, as well as a touch of nutmeg and mignonette. The whole is based on a durable, masculine base, dominated by white musk, cedar, oakmoss, patchouli and amber.
